DSP calculation question

Hello,


I have one PVDM2-32 (2 DSPs c5510 on the plane) on the board of 2821 ISR.

Under voice card I prefer to use high complexity, i.e. 6 channel per DSP (12 channels in total).

While I'm configuring PRI using 10 TS, router claims:

I've got an idea: am I right if suggest, that 4 channels are occupied by fxs/fxo assignements ?

The router is showing you correctly.


You have enough DSP resources for only 8 channels.


You must have enough DSPs to support 10 channels. This would require 3 DSPs in your case for 10 g711 channels.

(4 channels per DSP in g711 for c5510 type DSPs)

(g711 because the telco is sending you g711 voice calls)
