Hi Guys.

Im deciding on the best mounting location and height to mount a aironet 1131AG Access point with intergrated antenna. Can anyone tell me the beam spread/angle that comes from these access points ?

thanks.

Jason,

with the 1131AG you have the internal antennas pointing outward (omni). On the back of the AP - is a metal plate, hardly any of the signal eminates thru that.

So the 1131AG is ideal for placing onto walls. The recommended height is not more than 15 feet high, and 100 feet apart from the next AP (depends on the kind of signal strenth you want)

HTH.

Hi Jason,

Just to add a note to the good info from Andrew. The Radiation pattern for the 1131 is shown nicely in the doc (towards the very end);

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your responses guys.

1130 is up and working fine. IS working in conjunction with a pair of aironet 1310 outdoor building to building bridges to connect the 2 offices together.

Sounds good - glad to help.
