Limiting MOH Multicast Traffic

Greetings, ive always wandered if there was a method for limiting multicast traffic on multiple switches for the MOH system in CCME.

Ive always noticed that when enabling it on a CCME router using the command below the switches go into a frenzy, somewhat similar to a broadcast storm.

multicast moh 239.10.16.16 port 2000

Is there a method for limiting the coverage of the multicast traffic across multiple vlans and limiting it to only the CCME router and attached phones?

Regards

Segregate voice and PC data VLANS from other types of network traffic.

Assign the voice and PC Data VLANs to different ports on the access switch than the other types of LANs.

Configure the access switch ports that are hosting the voice and PC data VLANs to limit broadcast traffic and multicast streams to bit rates of 2 Mbps or less.

Enable IGMP Snooping feature on Catalyst switches.

Cheers, ive got the vlans in place but havent enabled IGMP, thank you for your time.

THREAD REVIVAL!!!

I just ran into this recently after analyzing packets from our Sonicwall router, and realized that all of our branches are experiencing this.  It looks like the 10.1.1.1 (UC5x0) is sending out multicast storm to 239.10.16.16 and it's being dropped by our router. We're talking 50 packets PER SECOND.  If we're not using a multicast server for our MoH, can we just negate the entry from the config?

Thanks
