I have ASA 5520 with 3 interfaces: inside, outside and dmz. I have a router on the outside with lo 0 192.168.252.6, which I cannot ping from the dmz. I do have a static translation dmz, outside. The route is also there in the ASA to reach the lo 0. I checked the syslog and found out that the ASA is thinking that 192.168.252.6 is inside and that is why I could not ping it. I'm new to the ASA appliance. Can anyone help me on how I can make this work ? Thanks so much.

Can you post the routing table off the ASA device ?

It is not a routing issue. 192.168.252.6 is on the outside of the firewall and the ASA thinks it is inside. I need to know how I could make the ASA know that 192.168.252.6 is on the outside.
Thanks.

"I'm new to the ASA appliance".
"It is not a routing issue"
Not saying it definitely is a routing issue but for someone who is new to the ASA device and is posting for help you seem to have made your mind up what the issue is already :-)
Please post full ASA config + the routing table.
