Cisco ONS 15454 -DS1 (E1)

We require Cisco cards that can breakout into electrical E1s on Cisco ONS 15454 platform, I searched Cisco site and found this:

15454E-120E1-FMEC but the card is EOL. Is there anyway I can get the replacement card that will perform the same function.

Are you using a SONET or SDH system? SDH chassis has interface connectors at the top of the chassis facing forward.

The 120E1-FMEC is only the card that allows the termination of the physical interface on the SDH platform. The SONET platform uses the UBIC panels (rear mounted) to terminate the physical interfaces.

The required E1 service cards would be:

E1 Electrical Card (SDH)

15454E-E1-42

How do I drop E1 from ONS?

I hope you have found solution if not then buy any third party SDH box which gives you Electrical E1. Then connect this box with 15454 with Optical STM1 this solution going to be much cheaper than a Electrical card in ONS 15454.
