IP Phones

Hi,

I have connected any IP phone to switch and PC to phone, and specify the voice VLAN and data VLAN seperately.

Is there any other command required in order to get the devices get an IP address from the exact VLANS( Voice and Data).

No other commands needed, of course you need a seperate dhcp servers for data and voice. The latter is usually CM or CME.

Is it possible to do it with a single DHCP server.

Hi

U can do it but its better to have the dhcp scopes on the CM for IP phones as it acts as tftp server also and ip phones needs some tftp options.

For data u can use the other server.

Ensure that u have configured spanning-tree porfast and u have the respective dchp scopes configured.
