Will changing a 9124 switchname affect Fabric/Device Manager?

Hi, if I change the SAN switch's name with the "switchname" command, will that affect Fabric/Device Manager or any other services? Thank you.

Hi,

It will change the name of the switch but will _NOT_ effect traffic.

It should show up as thew new switch name in the gui's.
