Sorry for alot of questions on the 1861. I am trying to do some work on our new device but I am finding that it did not ship with SDM installed. Is there a reason for this? This is not suppored with CCA yet correct? How can I (or should I) add SDM to this?
Hi, I recommend avoid using SDM as it produce inconsistent, unprofessional results, moreover prevents you from learning how an IOS configuration is made.
You make a very good point however some of the configurations produced with SDM are over 200 lines long :) for us small shops its sure nice to use it as a framework :)... with that said is there a reason SDM is not installed? I hear conflicting things that the 1861 could possibly be managed with CCA .. I tested with CCA 1.6 and had a no go. As this is a cross-over product of sorts I want to make sure I have the right answer.
