CCNA needed for CCVP if already CCIE?

Unanswered Question
May 16th, 2008

I'm interesting in studying voice and am thinking of doing the CCVP track. I do not have a CCNA but I am a CCIE. CCNA is listed as a prereq for CCVP. Does my CCIE trump this requirement?

Thanks, Gregg

I have this problem too.

if you had a valid CCNA certification at the time you did your CCIE - the CCIE should have recertified your CCNA ..

if you never did take the CCNA - you have to take it to get the CCVP certification

the CCIE doesn't trump that :-(

you can check that in the cisco certification tool ..

Thanks Rainer. I thought so but wanted to make sure. On to the CCIE voice written for me.

glad to help

I am also working towards the Voice written - my plan is to tackle the written mid next year and use it to recert the R&S with it

I would recommend checking with certifications support on this as the CCIE does waive the CCNA for CCDP. I would assume it also does for CCVP. See the following link.**&p_li=&p_topview=1

Hope this helps.
