We currently have a P2P T1 with two 1721 routers. Will be adding another remote office via P2P T1. Understand we will need a second WIC-1DSU-T1 card to the 1721. Looking at installing 1841 with WIC-1DSU-T1-V2 card. Are the 1721 and 1841 WIC cards compatible? Pre Sales Support "thought so".

I have had first and second generation T1 cards talking with each other. However, you always have the variable of the Carrier in between so YMMV.
I would seriously consider putting the 1841 at the head end with two T1 Cards in it and moving the 1721 to the new edge site. The 1841 is much better prepared to handle the traffic. However, neither the 1721 and 1841 are rated as 2 T1 line rate routers. The 1841 is only rated for 1 T1 with services (QOS, ACLs, etc) If you are not running these, you should be OK, but there are no guarantees. The 2811 is the smallest router that is "rated" for 2 T1s.

WIC-1DSU-T1 is not supported in the 1841, just the WIC-1DSU-T1-V2
