We have a lan with different subnets and we have switch that are setup has DNS and Default gateway they do both(which i did know that switch could do).

If I connect to a switch and do show cdp neig details i can see the other switchs but when i monitor the lan i just see the switch of my subnet and none of the others which i know are there. I don't want to do port mirroring on the switch i just want to be able to monitor them and we don't have netflow or any apps like that.

Can someone help?
