Trunk port does not work in ME3400

Hi all, is there any cause so that a switchport mode trunk command does not work in a 3400 switch fast ethernet port? When I apply the command, and I define the vlans that should pass the trunk, and allow them, all of them fall. On the contrary, if I set the switchport access vlan XX command on the port, only that vlan works....but no idea why the trunk mode is not set...

The IOS is MetroBase 12.2(25)EX1

Try specifying the port-type.

!

interface fastethernet0/1

port-type nni

!

For more information take a look at the following url:

You should be able to use trunks on both UNI and NNI ports.

switchport trunk allowed vlan X

switchport mode trunk

those two commands should be enough.

Also, EX1 is an older IOS.

(44)SE is the current version.
