I have a AIR-LAP1510AG outdoor access point that I am having a connection issue with. Someone cut the RJ45 end off that connects the AP to the power injector, so they could run the cable through a wall. Now I have to be the one to fix it.
What is the wiring diagram for this? Is it the same as 568-B Wiring?
Does it need a special RJ45 jack since it has an extra bare wire running through it?
How can I test this wire? Since it has that funny outdoot adapter to the AP I am unsure. I know the wireless controller does not see the AP.
Thanks,
Jason

I am pretty sure it is 568b but...the bare wire is a ground wire since this thing carries significantly more power than 802.3af.

Answer to my question.
If you are connecting the AP directly to controller you use a cross-over cable. If using a hub or switch use a straight-through cable.
