CallManager 6.1 Attendant Console and Broadcast Hunting

Q1. Using Attendant Console is there a audible alert when there is a call in the Broadcast Calls window? PC I am testing with doesn't have a sound card. Receptionist has a copier/fax around the corner and needs to get a audible notice call is in window. Testing indicates no audible indicator. We have to keep looking at the Broadcast Calls window to see if a call is there.

Q2. I'm using it on a Dual-Monitor PC and don't see any problems. The receptionist may be upset about losing her second monitor. What issues arise that make it unsupported?

Hi Jason,

Advanced Tab (You can enter information in these optional fields to change the default settings.)

Enable Audible Alerts

To enable audible alerts that indicate when the attendant

receives calls (incoming and broadcast), drops calls, parks

calls, and places calls on hold as well as that indicate how

long calls have been on hold, check the Enable Audible

Alerts check box.

The audible alerts sound once per call event. The “audio”

subdirectory of the Cisco Unified CallManager Attendant

Console application contains the audible alert files. By

default, the system specifies the directory location,

C:\Program Files\Cisco\CallManager Attendant

Console\audio.

Hope this helps!

Rob
