Call Forwarding Display Behavior

Unanswered Question
May 19th, 2008

Hi all,

Got this question from a client. She is describing her existing Nortel system at first...

"When the manager has her phone forwarded to the assistant's, and when the assistant receives a forwarded call, the call display is something to the effect "forwarded from....". It's only when the assistant picks up the call that the phone # of the caller is displayed. On the Cisco phones, is it the call display of this forwarded caller that will display or will it be the same as it is today?"

I believe this can be configured either way in Call Manager but can't recall where? Hoping someone might know?

TIA

I have this problem too.

If A calls B and B is CFA to C, then we cannot prevent DN of C from being displayed on A.

However, there are options to hide B's information from showing up on C display. In 4.x, there are new options on line configuratiion under section Forwarded call information display but that will only help to hide information on C in

this scenario.
