What switch are you trying to configure this for and is it running CatOS or IOS.

A more modern way to do this is to use 802.1x dynamic vlan assignments. Perhaps you could tell us a bit more about your requirements.

Hi Jon,

I have Cisco 4506 switch( with SUP-II plus) running with IOS. I like to cofigure 7 vlan( one will be for servers). there are lot of mobile users. So the only way is dynamic vlan assignment ( customer prefers MAC based) & i have edge switches 2950,3524 & 3550 switches.
