We just brought a new 7975 IP phone and the phone keeps rebooting. checked the firmare version and the image on callmanager. not quite sure why this is happenning. BTW, the CCM version is 4.2Sr3a

can u answer my second question. Are you able to add a device as 7975 ? or have u added this phone as 7970 ?

What are the sequence of display msgs u get on the phone ?
Are u able to add the phone in Callmanager as a 7975 phone?

on the phone downloading image screen , it comes up with "auth fail" and before it goes through the reboot phase it comes up with "Registration rejected : error mismatch"

Have you tried resetting the phone to factory defaults..
what is the default firmware on the phone (you can go to settings-> option 5-> option 3.
