Handset Hookswitch Control

williams-daniel

phone type: 7942

Version of Callmanager: 5.1.3.2000-3

Version of firmware: 8.3(3)

In the Device configuration for a 7942G phone there is no option to enable the hookswitch feature.

Could someone verify if this feature is supposed to be available in 5.1(3)?

Hi Daniel,

This rather new feature does not seem to be available in all CCM Versions. I was recently working with 2 fellow NetPro's who were running 4.1(3) with the latest SR and 5.1.x The Headset Hookswitch Control option was not available for them either.

It is working in our 4.2(3)sr3 environment.

It seems like this is not available in 4.1 or 5.1 but does work in 4.2 and 6.x

Hope this helps!

Rob

The latest engineering special fixes this one.

"cisco-ipt-k9-patch-es5.1.3.2104-1.tar.gz.sgn"

Hi Dan,

Thanks for posting back with the fix for this issue! +5 points for this good info.

Take care,

Rob

And don't forget to read the "Read me" file coming with ES (Engineering Special) because you need to upgrade the phone load to the latest supported by ES as well. You also need to rename the ES file to ".sgn" because the downloaded file name is "cisco-ipt-k9-patch-es5.1.3.2104-1.tar.gz.gz". Just remove the ".gz" and add ".sgn" And finaly you need to restart the TFTP service in the CCM.

Good luck,

MK
