GRE cannot be terminated on PIX/ASA's, GRE pass through is, in other words if looking to terminate a GRE tunnel you could terminate at a router behind ASA and let GRE pass through ASA .
like jorge said, the asa/pix doesn't terminate gre tunnels. you can still use the ASA (or the terminating router) as a vpn endpoint to encrypt the tunnel though.
