Hi friends,

I have got an issue with bundling multilink with serial.

Here comes the Topology

7206-core router is connected to multiple 1700s & 1800s through multiple E1s.

All serials are binded to multilinks at Core router and 1700 or 1800s as well.

one of the client (1700) is having issues in binding with multilink

Troubleshooting done.

Changed the encaps to hdlc at both ends

result : working fine

changed encaps to PPP with out multilink

result : working fine.

when binding to multilink :

serial and multilink goes down.

Debug output :

May 21 17:02:48.304 IST: Se2/5:30 MLP: Request add link to bundle

May 21 17:02:48.304 IST: Se2/5:30 MLP: Adding link to bundle

May 21 17:02:48.304 IST: Se2/5:30 MLP: Bundle x.x.x.x.x in different multilink group

May 21 17:02:48.304 IST: Se2/5:30 MLP: Link not added to bundle

after seeing this debug out suspected E1 & multilnik mismatch issue.

changed E1 and binded to a new multilink at both sides.

Still same issue.

The media is MLLN.

IOS c1700-k9o3sy7-mz.123-1a.bin

Please guide.

Well your config seems to fine and straightforward. This could be related to some software IOS thing. Just to narrow down the problem, try configuring the virtual-template and see if it works.
