I will be installing a UC520 with a PRI for the first time. Previously I have only worked with analog/FXO ports. I have two questions:
1) How much different is working with PRI than FXO?
2) My main concern is outgoing caller ID. Of all the DIDs only two are important. The primary office line and the primary FAX line. I want to make sure that all outgoing calls made via phones show the caller ID of the main office line. Also the FAxes that use the PRI must show the primary FAX DID for outgoing. How do I go about doing this?
Thanks,
Diego

1 - in short you have all the features, and none of the hassle. Config is a bit different.
2 - this is easily done with translation-profile and rule:
voice translation-profile makedid
translate calling 100
voice translation-rule 100
rule 1 /233/ /4033/
rule 2 /.*/ /4000/
voice-port 0/x/0:24
translation-profile outgoing makedid
in this example, DID from CO is four digits, 233 is fax extension. All other number are send a 4000 (main).
Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!

voice-port 0/x/0:24
translation-profile outgoing makedid
You have an "x" here. Do I have to have one of these for every voice-port? All 23 from the PRI?
Thanks,
Diego

No, it's the WIC id. it's what you configure with "card type T1 X".
There is no individual channel configuration for PRI.
