Does LMS/DFM in the 3.0 version support basic ping/availability for non-cisco networked devices?

I have this problem too.

No. Devices that DFM does not know about will be categorized as Unsupported.

Thanks. Any plans to add this? It would be cool to have CW be able to do simple ping and be somewhat all inclusive at the network layer.

The Health and Utilization Monitor application can handle non-Cisco devices, but I have not heard any plans to add this capability to DFM.

Oh really.....any steps on how to do this or is it just simply adding the device to the dcr and importing it into HUM.

Cisco TAC can only provide support on Cisco devices, but you can add non-Cisco devices into DCR, then into HUM. You can even load non-Cisco MIBs into HUM.
