Solved: How to find the size of memory flash in a Pix 515 4.4(4)

Hi guys,

I wanna know if is any way to find the flash memory size in a Pix 515 with PIX Version 4.4(4)

Here my show version (there is no command like show flash, dir , etc)

pixfirewall> show ver

PIX BIOS Cisco Secure PIX Firewall BIOS

Hardware: PIX-515, 64 MB RAM, CPU Pentium 200 MHz

Flash strata @ base 0x300

0: ethernet0: address is 0050.54ff.4a74, irq 10

Licensed Options:

Failover: Disabled

IPSec: Disabled

Ports allowed: 2

If I open the case (the case is selled), is there any indication in the memory card if the memory is 2MB/8MB/16MB ??

Andre,

You have 16mb flash.

I know it's a little cryptic as I had been in this situation long time ago when I started using the PIX.

PIX FAQ:

Q. How do I determine how much Flash memory my PIX has?

A. If you perform a show version command on your PIX, and the Flash size is not given in MB, then use this table to see how much Flash your PIX has.

i28F020 512 KB

AT29C040A 2 MB

atmel 2 MB

i28F640J5 8 MB - PIX 506 16 MB - all other PIXes

strata 16 MB
