Backing UP CW LMS (V3.1.1) Off Box

I am trying to backup my CW LMS Database (v3.1.1) to another server. I mapped a drive from the CW server, but I get a message informing that the backup cannot create LOCK file. I read the CW documentation (Common Services User Guide) and it says that target location for the backup s/b on another PARTITION. Can the CWLMS database be backed up to antoher server? I beleive I gave proper permissions to the folder I want it to be backed up to...Thanks

A network backup like this was not tested, and is not recommended. What we recommend is to take a local backup, then copy the backup directory off-server for archive purposes.

The backup destination must be fully accessible to casuser on the local server.

Thanks for the response...Since the documention does't mention off box or drive mapping, I should have assumed it could not be done...Thanks for the QUICK response!
