Hello,

Is it possible to run the CiscoWorks LMS database individually on a server? Is the LMS native database a tailored MySql database?

Regards,

-Aryan

No. The LMS databases are embedded within the product, and cannot be put on dedicated machines. We use an embedded Sybase database called Adaptive Server Anywhere. That cannot be changed.

Thanks Joe for your reply.

I heard a separate database for CW LMS on the road-map, during a SE Club day.

-Aryan

I have not heard this. As far as I know, the current generation of LMS will continue to use ASA. We are planning a big upgrade to ASA 10 in the upcoming LMS 3.1 release next month.
