Dear seniors,

We are not able to access the Router (7206VXR) on today day before yesterday we were work on that we were accessing the router through putty because telnet is disable on router and Network Error Connection Refused. This error we are getting while accessing the router remotely…so what could be the problem how I can resolve this issue

HI Sasi,

As discussed, since the VTY Session are not timed-out configure the VTY Line as below:

line vty 0 4

"exec-timeout 3 0"

The Exec-timeout will help to clear the Lines after certain period of time.

HI Sasikumar, [Pls Rate if HELPS]

In the Configuartion under "Line VTY" have you done any changes like "transport input none" command

because this command will not allow anyone to login via the VTY Sessions by preventing the Telnet Access on Port 23. Try login via Console and remove such commands if any.

Is the services of the Router are working fine ?

we didn't change any thing on router previos we were logging throug putty only now we not able to access

we are using login that router through SSH

Are you able to login via Console and check any un-usual logs regards to authentication via VTY ?

yes we access the router through console and we cleared the lines VTY because login 15 was there now we solved this issue

U need to use a terminal software which supports SSH try secreCRT.
