Hello.

I would like to know how much physical interfaces i may to include on MLPPP configuration using the Cisco 2821 with VWIC2-2MFT-T1/E1

You can have a maximum of 16 links in a bundle, doesn't matter what is physical interface type. For high density now there is a new NM with 8 T1/E1, for example. or the hwic-ce1/t1-pri that is made specifically for data and a bit cheaper than the vwic2.

Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!

With VWIC2-2MFT-T1/E1 you get 2 T1s or 2 E1s.

Uses 1 WIC slot,2 physical serial interfaces.

Typical scenario for two T1s MLPPP example assuming you are using WIC0 slot.

controller T1 0/0/0

framing esf

linecode b8zs

channel-group 0 timeslots 1-24

controller T1 0/0/1

framing esf

linecode b8zs

channel-group 0 timeslots 1-24

interface Serial0/0/0:0

no ip address

encapsulation ppp

fair-queue

ppp multilink

ppp multilink group 1

interface Serial0/0/1:0

no ip address

encapsulation ppp

fair-queue

ppp multilink

ppp multilink group 1

interface Multilink1

bandwidth 3088

ip address x.x.x.x

fair-queue

ppp multilink

ppp multilink group 1
