UC520 High Traffic

We have a few UC520 installations and we have noticed that the UC520 generate a high volumne of traffic across the switches. To such an extent that it has caused the switch it is uplinked to to detect a broadcast storm on the uplink port from the UC520.

The UC520 is the 48 user model and it is uplinked from port 8 on the uc520 to a CE500. When the CE500 detected the storm all the phones unregistered as the CE500 applied a filter to that port.

Has anyone else come across this?

Many Thanks

Neil

That is singular. One should find what is the cause of the broadcast storm as CME not supposed to broadcast much. Are you using multicas MOH for extensions ?

Yep - it was multicasting Moh internally. This was a default setup of the UC520 so I will be checking these in the future

Many thanks for you help
