I have some understanding problems in differentation between wcs and wlc functionality. Do i need a WCS for a small WLAN with some (6-24)1131 or 1252 AP's and

WLC Controller to provide specific functions like

Radio resource monitoring,

Inteference detection and avoidance

Dynamic transmit power control

Dynamic channel assignment

Coverage hole detection

Guest access.

What benefits is there in having a WCS when there is just a single WLC?.

No you don't. The benefits of WCS is when you have multiple wlc's in your network. WCS manages the wlc's thus allowing you to push out controller templates and ap templates. Also allows you to import floor plans so you can place your ap's on the map. If you have location, then you will need WCS. The WLC provides everything you need to implement a wireless infrastructure.
