CTI OS - OnControlFailureConf Event

I have a written a softphone application which uses CTI OS API's. I am trying to perform a Scenario while,

1. Agent 1 is on a Customer call.

2. Agent 1 initaites a call to Agent 2.

3. Agent 2 Answers.

4. Agent 1 reconnects to the Customer and the call with Agent 2 is put on hold.

5. Agent 1 tries reconnecting with Agent 2 again.

While performing the 5th step above, I get an OnControlFailureConf event.

Event [OnControlFailureConf]

FailureCode [eForcedNotReadyForConfigError]

ErrorMessage - [The connection identifier is not valid.]

Can anyone help me in figuring out why am I getting this?

Hi Bhaskar,

from the nature of the error message it seems that you are referring to the wrong callid when trying to reconnect.

I would recommend engaging dev support services for similar scenarios.

Hi Riccardo,

Thanks for your reply. I will try contacting dev support services. However, I would like to know if there is any document available that contains the description of the error codes. The CTI OS programming guide does not have information about the error codes, however, the document just mentions the possible errors. Also I have with me the Cisco ICM Software CTI Client reference guide, but that too does not give any information about the error codes. Can you kindly help me on this front?

Hi Bhaskar,

it is experience in reviewing those logs lot more then documentation in dealing with them I am afraid, no general reference doc I could think of.

I supported CTI-CTIOS solutions, custom and not for over 8 years, hence I am used to say this might be down to that.
