ATM IMA to FR WAN connectivity

Hello All,

I face a strange problem with couple of WAN links which connect to an ATM IMA core from a Frame Relay. Both these lines face frequent EIGRP flaps in the FR end routers along with line protocol going down in the ATM routers

Hi ,

You need to isolate problem first. If you are saying that ATM/IMA is flapping then you need to concentrate on ATM side. Pls check ATM link logs on it & check if links are flapping . If yes, More commonly causes are Clocking issue , Teleco Problem etc..

Thanks for the suggestion. The E1 lines that are a part of the ATM IMA were tested clean by the service provider.The logs show only the line protocol goes down in the ATM end while the EIGRP neighborship losses in the FR routers. Telco is neither unable to see this line drop nor trace out the problem with the line and they suggest some configuration changes with the ATM IMA.Not sure that will be the permanent resolution for this problem.
