When trying to connect to an ftp site, we never get the login prompt back. We have a Cisco ASA 5520 running 8.0.3. We can send to other ftp sites.
FTP works fine to the same site from 2 of our other locations, running Cisco Pix 515 6.3.
We do have the inspect ftp on the ASA and fixup ftp on the Pix's. I even added an acl entry on the ASA allowing anything from the ip address of the ftp server.
Since I am not seeing evidence of it being denied by the ASA, i am thinking that it may be a problem with the inspection engine.
Has anyone experiecned this? Any insight would be helpful.
Thanks in advance!

I have the same issue in my PIX 8.03. It seems that I did not have this problem when I had version 6.3x. Have you fixed you problem yet?

The problem was an acl on the ftp server itself.
