I work for a service provider. We are considering configuring a 7609 with multiple vrf instances in order to hairpin traffic out of the router, through a packet inspection device, back to the router and out to the internet. This router is running OSPF and BGP carrying the full BGP routing table.
If anyone has experience regarding this type of configuration, I would be interested in knowing the effects on memory, processor utilization and any other problems you may have experiences.
Thanks in advance!

Where you able to successfully implement this configuration? I am looking to do a similar config and cant get it to work. Any info you provide may be helpful.
Thanks in advance!

We have deployed the solution in our network...the only problem is the number of zero routes...

Hi Nishan,
Glad to know that you have deployed the solution. Can you show/explain the config? Thanks in advance.
