Total number of DSPFARM DSP channel(s) 4
I need to set up conference calling and do not have any dsp's left...at least I think. I am still learning the ins and outs of this system.
Do I need more DSP's?
How do I know how much I have already?

Here is the URL for the configure conference which will helps you :

Thank you for the link.
I actually already have a config on the router, but my dspfarm will not come out of shutdown state. It tells me that all my dsp resources are used up.
I do not know from the output above if they are all used or not. I thought I had more than 4, I thought I had at least 16.
How can I verify this?

Hi Rick,
Since I am not much aware of the configuration and commands, let's take it in other way.
My understanding is that you have DSPs on the router. you have done the configuration for conferencing, however its not working.
If this is the case, then let me know what modules/interfaces you have on the router.
Just paste the whole show diag output.
Let's see how many DSPs are required to support the voice interfaces you have on the router and then how many dsps are left.

Rick,
You are having the following modules -
VWIC2-1MFT-T1/E1
VIC2-4FXO
VIC2-2E/M
If I consider that you are using E1 interface 30 channesl then you need 3DSPs for these modules to work.
Use the DSP calculator for this calculation -
http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/Support/DSP/cisco_prodsel.pl
PVDM2-8 = 1/2 DSP
PVDM2-48 = 3 DSPs
Hence there is no DSP left for conferencing.
I guess you'll have to add PVDM modules.
