Hi.

My customer ask me about the possibity of the cluster servers (2) CCM 4.2 use the virtual IP like HSRP. I think that this function is called TIME in Windows.

Hi there,

Unfortunately such a functionality is not a supported configuration.

What exactly is your customer's expected benefit from such a feature? Perhaps there's a different way to achieve the desired results.

Hi.

My customers want that the phones looking for TFTP by dns, using the same name to both servers.

But this was a doubt just, I hope.

The problem is that we cannot specify DNS for the TFTP address on the phone, the customer will need to have both TFTPs IP Addresses on the phone configuration. You can use DHCP option 66 and 150 for this.

Ahhh...they could use option 66 instead of option 150 to achieve that result. However, I think most people would recommend against using this approach because it adds an extra layer of complexity as well as one more failure point.
