642-901 BSCI - Route Redistribution (CCNP)

Unanswered Question

Here is a question:

For example, in eigrp, you want to redistribute isis routes, you want to set the delay of those routes to 5ms; Cisco IOS only allows you to set that value in tens of ms.

Given this information, how will I set the redistributed route's delay to 5 ms?

I have this problem too.

I don't think that you can set the delay for 5 ms. As you said, it only lets you go in multiples of 10s. If you look at the options of the delay command, it shows that you can only go in 10s.

(config-if)#delay ?

Thanks for the reply,

somebody cleared this for me today... it seems like I got my basic math wrong.

5ms = 5 milliseconds = 5000 microseconds so the delay would be 500 x 10 .
