877's instead of 871's

Unanswered Question

We purchased 877's instead of 871's and now we are stuck with them (long story). In an effort to put them to use, can we disregard the DSL, connect one port to our LAN (for internet access) and get access on the other 3 ports and the wireless?

I have this problem too.

Yes. An advanced Ip services image let you configure vlan to do that.

hope this helps, please rate post if it does!

Thanks. Will our smarter IT people know about the 'advanced IP services image', or can you add anything to help?

They have work that with the reseller. Usually the image itself is accessed under a smartnet contract and the licensing issues dealt with sales.
