hi,
whenever ip use the interface ip address, it will show "Bad number instances". Please refer to the attacment.
please help me how to resolve this issue. thx

This usually indicates a problem in the device's SNMP response. It would be helpful to see a sniffer trace filtering on all udp/161 traffic to this device when you try and add the collector.

This confirms that there is some sort of device issue, but a sniffer trace would shed even more light on the exact mismatch. Additionally, it would be helpful to see the show ver and show run from this device.

IPM 2.6 Cannot add collectors using Source Interface on Windows2003.
Symptom:
If one tries to create a collector using a source router with a valid "Source Interface" IP, the following error
will be shown:
AddCollErrLatency test
Reason: Bad number instances
Conditions:
This seems to be only a problem with IPM running Windows2003 platforms. Other platforms may not be
affected.
Workaround:
None.
