WS-X6548V-GE-TX vs. WS-X6548-RJ-45

Hi All,

The 6548V-GE-TX has a per port buffer size of 1.4MB per 8 ports and the 6548-RJ-45 has 1MB per port.

My question is, if I take off the power card on the 6548V will the buffer size per port change to 1MB per port or will it stay 1.4MB to 8 ports? And vice versa if I put a power card on a 6548-RJ-45 will it change to 1.4MB to 8 ports?

If this is true, is there a way to test or confirm it?

thanks in advance.

Erick

The PoE voice daughtercard shouldn't change the buffering mechanism on the card. I don't think anything would change.

Erick,

As stated by Ryan Power card is not going to make any difference. Its not at all associated with the buffer size.
