Correct. After 2.0.3 is installed and running then all you need to do is rediscover all your devices as mentioned in the installation guide for 2.0.3.

Make sure the capability listed for the CUCM says "CiscoCallManager".

CUOM does a snmpwalk on the CUCM for the object ccmphonetable (.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.156.1.2.1). Check if that response is giving valid information on the phones.

Also check if the object "ccmPhoneProductTypeIndex" is returning 0. If it is returning 0 then try restarting the snmp service on the CUCM. If it is still returning 0 after that then it is a bug on the CUCM as 0 means unknown phone model type which causes CUOM to not discover the phones.

Hi spaladug,

how can i check the MIB "ccmPhoneProductTypeIndex" ?, with the snmpwalk?.

also i have seen the page http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/cuom201 where there is sofware for the cuom 2.0.1. do you recommend to upgrade with this patches?

Best regards,

Alberto

Hi Alberto,

I would recommend upgrading to CUOM 2.0.3 which includes all the patches for 2.0.1 and much more bug fixes since it is a maintenance release. Please note that you can only upgrade to CUOM 2.0.3 from 2.0.2. So you will have to upgrade to 2.0.2 before going to 2.0.3.

To do a snmpwalk from CUOM you can:

1) go to the "Ciscoworks" link in the top right corner.

2) Then select "Device Center".

3) Select your device

4) Select "snmpwalk" at the bottom.

5) Enter ".1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.156.1.2.1.1.18" which is the OID for ccmPhoneProductTypeIndex.

If you do not understand how to do snmpwalks then please open a TAC case for further assistance. Thanks.

Thanks again,

I have a question, is there any cost to go from 2.0.1 to 2.0.2 and then to 2.0.3

can i download the software, do i have to get some licenses?

regards,

Alberto

There is no cost.

You can download the software at the following link.

http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl?topic=280110370

You do not need to get any more licenses. All CUOM 2.0.x use the same licenses.

Thanks again,

so i have downloaded the versions 2.0.2 and 2.0.3, what i have to do is to run the setup.exe from the 2.0.2 software and then the same for the 2.0.3, and nothing else with the license (2.0.1)

Best regards,

Alberto

Correct. After 2.0.3 is installed and running then all you need to do is rediscover all your devices as mentioned in the installation guide for 2.0.3.

Thanks a lot,

Best Regards,

Alberto
