CNA and ASA 5520 not visible

Hi,

we have a problem with CNA (Cisco Network Assistent 5.3) and Cisco ASA 5520 (OS 7.3). Other devices like Switches were detected correctly by CNA, only the ASA not. HTTPS-Access is available and ASDM works friendly too.

Thanks for answers.

CNA releases do not support the ASA

Hello,

thats not right, see the below Link:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/cisco_network_assistant/version5_0/release/notes/OL12210a.html#wp713345

This ASA devices are supported:

ASA 5505, ASA 5510, ASA 5520, and ASA 5540 Adaptive Security Appliances

Perhaps since the firewalls don't support CDP you need to enter them manually. The user guide reads:

"Beginning with the IP address for a starting device and the port numbers for the HTTPS and HTTP protocols, Network Assistant uses CDP to compile a list of community candidates that are within four CDP hops of the starting device"
