Does anyone know, when looking up this command it says it defaults to the US standard. Is that the old standard or new standard?
I ask because when I issue the following command in 12.4, it accepts teh cmd, but doesn't change the running config.
clock summer-time edt recurring 2 Sun Mar 2:00 1 Sun Nov 2:00
Is this now standard in 12.4???

So what does the running config look like? If "show clock detail" reflects the new US DST standard and the config remains "clock summer-time EDT recurring" throughout, the particular version of 12.4 does appear to default to the new standard.

The behavior of clock summertime recurring is release dependent. More recent versions of 12.4 (and 12.4T) implement the new dates (for the US) and older versions of 12.4 (and 12.4T) implemented the old dates. If anyone is not sure what their version is doing the show clock detail will make it known.
