Removing duplicate APs on WCS

We have recently started implementing 1242AG APs onto our system. We are using WCS 4.2.62.0 with 1242 LWAPP APs. We keep getting both 802.11a and 802.11 b/g listings on our controller. Is there a way to get rid of the 802.11a listing on our controller? Everytime we try to check the box on one, it checks the other.

Can you be more specific on where you see this and what you are trying to do.

We just got some new LWAPP 1242AG APs. When we connect it to our WCS, it comes up with two of the same AP. One with 802.11b/g and another with 802.11a. These have the same name, but when I try to delete the 802.11a AP, the WCS automatically selects both APs. We are trying to remove the 802.11a AP because we aren't using that AP, and not to confuse some of our junior techs.

Eric,

That is not configurable in either the WLC nor WCS. Just have to teach the juniors the difference between the two.
