Unity upgrade 4.0(3) to 5.x using COBRAS

I was looking at COBRAS as a backup tool for an upgrade. Low and behold it only supports 4.0(5), which was only relased in December.

Has anyone tried using COBRAS on a version earlier than 4.0(5)? If not, I'm guessing my only option is to DiRT backup then upgrade old box to 4.0(5). Then COBRAS export from 4.0(5) and import into new 5.0 server.

Remeber COBRAS is not supported yet by TAC yet.
