NM-WAE configuration

All, I have an NM-WAE I'm setting up for a client. The meager documentation does not really speak on the preferred deployment method. Does anyone know whether WCCP is the preferred method? If so, is it anything more than specifying the NM-WAE IP address in the WCCP settings? If so/not, what is the preferred method? Inline? Is that even possible?

Real world opinions most welcome.

Hi Ed,

WCCP will be a good deployment option with the NME-WAE. WCCP is not processor intensive so it will work well.to set it up,

1. connect the NME-WAE to the router

2. set a default gateway; service module default-gateway

3. set an ip address on the module; service-module ip

4.set an ip address on the integrated service-engine on the router side

5.set up wccp on the router

ip wccp ver 2

ip wccp 61

ip wccp 62

configure your redirection on the router
