CCM confernce:using 2 device pool

Hello,

I'm using CCM6 with a Voip call.

The VoIP Call use G729 codec.

The internal call use G711.

I use a IOS MTP with G729 Codec.

If I use the Default DevicePool,

I cannot call through the VoIP.

So I've created a new Device pool that use another region with G729 COdec. and I can call with the VoIP.

Now all work fine, but only the conference with the Voip Call is now blocked.

Is it possible to communicate the 2 device pool? The first use g711 and the other use g729.

Is IOS Conference bridge can be a solution?

Hi Solo,

You are right on the money my friend :) You are seeing this restriction that applies to Software Conference Bridges;

This really sounds like a Codec issue. Have a look;

Cisco CallManager Software Conference Bridge supports only G.711 a-law and G.711 u-law and does not understand any other codec such as G.729.

Yes I want a codec issue,

And now I cannot configure the MTP.

My Router have 2 PVDM2-64 and two Ethernet interfaces.

I've put the first interface for MTP, and the sercond for transcoder.

The MTP can be registered but the second (Transcoder) is Rejected.

Have you any issues?

Hi,

I've configured 2 device pool, the VoIP call cannot be established if i use the DevicePool for all ipphones and servers.

The first Device pool is configured with region with g711 codec, and the second for the VoIP is configured with g729.

They're based on the region, and i'm not good with regions.

Any issues?
