Unable to Lauch SDM

I have installed the SDM and the SDM demo software to test using the SDM. I followed the SDM demo instructions, to use 127.0.0.1 as the loop-back IP so as to use the demo. But I get the message "Unable to Launch SDM".

One error suggestion is the wrong IP is used, the other states that HTTP or HTTPS services are not running. Now I am using XP Home, do I need to install an HTTP service to use the SDM demo on my computer?

Hi chauge049,

You are correct, you do need HTTP server installed on your pc.

If your using Windows then you can using IIS.

Hope this helps, Please rate

Justin

Thanks for your response, I thought so, however, as I only have Windows XP Home, it does not come with IIS. I checked for another HTTP server that comes with Home, but did not find one. ** Sigh** Guess I'll have to check the shareware route.

Thanks again,

Chuck
