Get a dump from CUCM 6.0(1)

I have an issue: one-way hearing due to my CUCM is under NAT/FW with its IP Phones.

I always use Wireshark (aka Ethereal) program's capture method to troubleshoot

such a problems; you know, to see what is going on on the wire. Is there any

method to get the network dump on CUCM Linux appliance and have possibility

to analyze it through 3d party software (e.g. Ethereal) later ?

If yes, please, advice how this can be performed ?

If no, what is the best methodology to see how the

CUCM and IP Phone negotiate the signaling and voice connections.

I've been looking through RTMT tool but cannot find anything relevant.

Hi Tobivan,

The first thing you should check is the firmware that your phones are using. There maybe some known issue's with that version.

Is QOS currently in place? Are you using CEF (Cisco Express Forwarding)?

Any additional information about your network would help as well.

Thank you for your recommendations.

But before I will start investigation in according with them,

I want to be sure that the shcheme

SCCP-based IP Phone #1 CUCM <> SCCP-based IP Phone #2 (within the same subnet as CUCM)

is operable in principle. Currently I have one-way hearing.
