Abdul,

Unfortunately this is the only switch which can give you PoE on 10/100/1000 interface.

There is a 2960 switch which supports PoE but on 10/100 interfaces.

So I guess no other option.

Good spot, i missed that one. Rated. The 2960G switches do support 10/100/1000 but not PoE.

Abdul - apologies for the misleading information.

The 2960 switches are probably what you want to be looking at. You don't say how many ports you need but assuming 24 or 48 there are 2 models that support 10/100/1000 + PoE

2960G-24TC-L - 24 port 10/100/1000 + PoE for all 24 ports.

2960G-48TC-L - 48 port 10/100/1000 + PoE for 24 ports only.

See this link for more details:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6406/prod_models_comparison.html

Be aware though that the 2960 switches are layer 2 only switches so they will not support inter-vlan routing. For a L3 switch you have to start at 3560.

Hi JOn,

I guess, 2960 TC-L model does not supports PoE + its not Gig based interface. It providse FE interfaces.

Cisco Catalyst 2960-24TC-L

24 Ethernet 10/100 ports and 2 dual-purpose uplink ports

Cisco Catalyst 2960-48TC-L

48 Ethernet 10/100 ports and 2 dual-purpose uplink ports

The PC-L switch provides PoE interfaces bu tagain its no GE but FE interfaces -

Cisco Catalyst 2960-24PC-L

24 Ethernet 10/100 PoE ports and 2 dual-purpose uplink ports

And there is no 48 port PoE model.

Hey Jon,

No Problems. This is the beauty of this forum. Ultimately the correct information goes to the user. We all keep making slips here and there :)

Being a human being I guess we should have that much liberty.
