I have a 2651 that I tryed to upgrade the IOS by xmodem but end up deleting all configuration files, good thing is that is a lab unit.
I get the following when booting:
device does not contain a valid magic number
boot: cannot open "flash:"
boot: cannot determine first file name on device "flash:"

you've deleted the operating system by mistake

See that article, note the links at the end telling you how to reinstall IOS using tftpdnld (if available) or xmodem (if you've got a few hours to spare)

sirdudesly,
I am trying the setps that you mentioned, but the problem is that I am only connecting to the router by console port COM1, and the tftpd32 that I have only listen to the ethernet port, so I can not send the image file.
And by xmodem I get to many errors and the connection drops.
